CA Composites offers a comprehensive range of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) laminating rollers for composite manufacturing, vacuum bagging, and hand lay-up applications. These rollers are essential for resin distribution, air bubble removal, and laminate consolidation. Available in aluminum, PE, PTFE, steel, and natural bristle options across multiple diameters and lengths.
1. Aluminum Cross-Groove Rollers

Aluminum rollers with horizontal grooves machined across the barrel surface. The cross-groove pattern provides efficient resin distribution and air removal during hand lay-up, making these one of the most widely used rollers in composite fabrication.
Diameters: 12.5mm, 16mm, 21mm, 25mm, 50mm
Lengths: 2″ to 8″ (50mm to 200mm)
Materials: Aluminum (standard), PE plastic (custom order)
2. Vertical-Groove (Ribbed) Rollers

Rollers with longitudinal grooves running along the length of the barrel. Available in aluminum, PE plastic, and PTFE (Teflon). The vertical-groove design channels resin along the roller axis and works well for wetting out reinforcement fabrics. Also available with a triangular tooth profile for more aggressive resin penetration.
Diameters: 10mm, 12.5mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 50mm
Lengths: 2″ to 8″ (50mm to 200mm)
Materials: Aluminum, PE, PTFE
Variants: Standard ribbed, triangular tooth pattern
3. Aluminum Bristle (Spike) Rollers

Metal spike rollers designed for aggressive air removal from laminated reinforcement layers. The protruding pins puncture trapped air pockets without disturbing fiber placement. Available in two styles: wide-tooth (coarse pins for heavy laminates) and fine-needle (dense pins for precision work on thin laminates).
Diameters: 12.5mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 50mm
Lengths: 2″ to 8″ (50mm to 200mm)
Types: Wide-tooth, fine-needle
4. Natural Bristle Rollers

Rollers with natural pig bristle barrels, ideal for gentle resin application and wet-out on delicate fabrics. The soft bristle action distributes resin evenly without disturbing fiber orientation, making these rollers particularly suitable for use with lightweight fabrics and surface tissues.
Diameters: 22mm, 28mm
Lengths: 2″ to 8″ (50mm to 200mm)
5. Aluminum Corner Rollers

Compact disc-style rollers designed for consolidating laminate in corners, flanges, and tight radius areas. Available in stepped (flat disc) and rounded (curved edge) profiles. The disc thickness can be varied from 2 to 6 discs to suit the corner width.
Diameters: 40mm, 50mm
Disc count: 2 to 6 discs
Profiles: Stepped (flat edge), rounded (curved edge)
6. Aluminum Radius Rollers

Profiled rollers with a concave-convex-concave barrel shape (13/25/13mm) for working inside and outside radii. These rollers conform to curved surfaces and internal corners where standard flat rollers cannot reach, ensuring full wet-out and consolidation on complex mould geometries.
Diameter profile: 13/25/13mm
Lengths: 2″, 3″, 4″
7. Steel Threaded Rollers

Steel rollers with a fine machine-thread pattern across the barrel surface. The threaded texture provides excellent resin distribution while being extremely durable and easy to clean. The steel construction handles heavy-duty use and resists resin build-up better than softer materials.
Diameters: 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm
Lengths: 2″ to 8″ (50mm to 200mm)
8. Spring Rollers

Rollers constructed from tightly wound spring wire coils. The spring design conforms to curved and uneven surfaces while providing effective air removal. Available in two standard sizes for different scale applications.
Sizes: 25 x 100mm, 40 x 140mm
All rollers are available with plastic or wooden handles. Custom lengths and bulk quantities available on request. Contact us for pricing and lead times.
