Phenolic Resin Flame-Retardant Prepreg C86 / G86

Modified phenolic resin prepreg available in carbon fibre (C86) and E-glass fibre (G86) variants. Meets EN 45545 fire retardant grade RE HL3. Suitable for press moulding and autoclave processing at 130–150°C. Applications include aircraft interiors, high-speed rail, marine and structural panels.

The C86 / G86 series is a phenolic resin flame-retardant prepreg manufactured using a modified phenolic resin impregnated into carbon fibre fabric (C86) and E-glass fibre fabric (G86). The resin system combines rigidity with outstanding flame resistance, delivering excellent drapeability and mechanical performance.

  • Low heat release rate during combustion
  • Low smoke density — suited to enclosed passenger environments
  • Meets fire retardant grade EN 45545, RE HL3
  • Available in press moulding and autoclave processing
  • Curing at 130–150°C with a short gel time of 10–15 min at 130°C
  • Fibre options: carbon (Toray / Aksaca) or E-glass (2400 Tex)

Fire Safety Compliance: Tested by DSC at 10°C/min heating rate. Meets EN 45545 rail transit fire retardant requirements at Hazard Level RE HL3 — applicable to aircraft, high-speed rail, and marine interior decorative structural components.
