Hand Lay-Up Epoxy

Hand lay-up is the most common and least expensive open-molding process of building composites. It requires the least amount of equipment. Layers of fiber reinforcements such as carbon fiber cloth are placed by hand on a mold and resin is applied with a brush or roller.

CA Composites provides epoxy resin best suited for hand-lay up process.

Suitable for wind turbine blades, marine and automobile body manufacture.
Can be used with carbon fiber, glass fiber, basalt and aramid fibers.

Based on tg and curing temperature, we have two categories of hand lay-up epoxy resin.

Room temperature Curing Hand lay up Epoxy Resin

Model: CALT-5089

Tg: 75-85 ℃
Viscosity at 25℃ : 800-2000 cps
Flexure Strength: 100-125 MPa
Curing condition: 24 hours at 25℃ (initial cure) + 6 hours at 70℃ or 4 hours at 50 ℃(initial cure) + 6 hours at 70℃ (post cure)
Suitable for building boats, kayaks, parts for automobiles, drone etc.
